JHSC Part 2 is the second part of the Ontario certification training program. After successfully completing this course, you will become a certified member of your workplace joint health and safety committee. Under the Occupation Health and Safety Act, certified members have a special role in the workplace.

Your JHSC Part 2 certificate will be issued from the Chief Prevention Officer and it is valid for three years from the date of completion. Next, you will need to take Refresher training prior to the 3-year expiry date in order to maintain your certified status.

You must have already completed Part 1 training in the past six months in order to attend Part 2 training. JHSC Part 2 training focuses on concepts of hazard recognition, assessment, control, and evaluation of controls. Please see below for the list of hazard topics included in this course. This course is relevant to any workplace where the following have been identified as significant hazards.
